IMC increases California footprint, adds new services

A locally-based intermodal firm continues to grow its West Coast operations amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

IMC Cos.’ West Coast brand — Pacific Drayage Services (PDS) — opened a new location in Fontana, California, on May 1.

As part of the investment into the Fontana location, company officials said an additional 100 long-term leased chassis are slated to arrive this month. The chassis will help supplement the existing 194 chassis that PDS already has in Southern California, allowing PDS to serve customers more efficiently during the ongoing industry-wide chassis shortage.
