IMC Celebrates Our Drivers’ Commitment to Safety

At IMC, we take driver safety seriously. Nothing is more gratifying that celebrating drivers who meet safety goals.

An astounding 198 drivers in the Gulf met their goals this past year! A series of celebrations across the region provided an excellent opportunity to present these heroes of the road with safety awards. The driving force behind these events is a dream team of many team members including Driver Instructors, the Recruiting Team and Dispatch; all led by Katie Miller, Troy Jones and Jason Rodbumrung.

“We have built a relationship and friendship over the years,” says Katie Miller, Business Development Manager for IMC’s Gulf Region. “Communication is key to our success – and we all have the same end goal: to celebrate our drivers.”

Every region celebrates drivers in different ways. In the Gulf “we recognize drivers for their safety achievements and also on their work milestones with us,” says Troy Jones, Recruiting & Retention Manager. “We even have a few who have met their safe driving goals for 20 years!” Jason Rodbumrung, Safety Director for IMC’s Gulf Region adds, “It’s an opportunity to say thank you.”

And, since IMC is a family business, the team makes sure that the safety awards are a family affair as well. Katie Miller agrees. “The satisfaction of putting these events together is seeing the drivers and their families have fun together,” she notes.

As for the safe drivers, they walked away from the events with their safety awards and fun memories with the families who love and support them so much: their family and ours at IMC. Wherever you’re located, we hope you know how much we at IMC appreciate your commitment to safety.
