IMC’s On the Move in Mobile – New Facility, Same Values

We’re excited to share a major milestone with you from our Gulf Region team: the grand opening of our brand-new facility in Mobile, Alabama! This isn’t our first time in Mobile, but it’s our first time calling a place truly our own. We purchased land, built from the ground up, and we now proudly operate from a 12-acre, state-of-the-art terminal that sets the tone for our future in the region and beyond.

At the heart of this project is Blake Lamparter, our Gulf Region Operations Manager, who didn’t just take on a new role, he relocated his life and family to make this vision a reality. From Memphis to Mobile, Blake saw an opportunity to grow something meaningful: a new facility, a stronger driver base, and a tight-knit community built on trust and opportunity.

Blake is quick to credit his team with the Mobile location’s growth. “Our team of six works diligently to make sure our drivers have what they need whether it’s dispatch support, safety, or just a friendly conversation while they’re on site,” he notes. The new facility features driver-specific areas with first aid, snacks, copy machine, icemaker, filtered water, and a covered patio cookout area that is used by drivers daily. “It is a family feel,” says Blake.

When he arrived, Mobile was home to just seven drivers. We’ve been able to grow the team and build a place where drivers feel at home, are supported, and are proud to represent IMC.

“Our new facility is a major source of pride for us,” says Blake. “Our drivers say they are proud to come to work here and that it’s a good environment. They like to show it off to their families. It may seem like a small thing, but it makes a big impact.”
